GCSE classes are there for people who, for a variety of reasons, need to gain a qualification at a later stage than when they are at school. This may include those who have a wealth of knowledge, but now require a basic grade in Mathematics in order to change job role or apply for a promotion, or someone who needs to improve on a grade in order to apply for University admission. In the current financial climate, having qualifications can be invaluable in defining yourself as better than other applicants for a job. There are many roles which require a grade C in Mathematics including Police Officers, Nurses, Armed Forces, Health Care, Social Care, Teachers and many more.

• 30-40% of each paper assesses the Functional elements of mathematics
